The Contest
Learn about the amazing properties of enzymes and discover the part they play in human or environmental health in our Future Protein Engineers Contest! Choose an enzyme, explain its function in the world, and then present how you would improve the enzyme.
We want to see you put your protein knowledge to the test using our resources as well as your own research and creativity.

What to Submit

- A 2-4 minute video

Contest Rules
Contest period: The contest runs from September 26, 2022 to November 9, 2022 (inclusive, in Pacific Time).
Age limit: Contestants must be US residents who are at least 13 years of age, and attending middle school or high school as of the date of entry.
Entry format:
Comics and infographics must be submitted as a JPG, PNG, or PDF.
Videos must run between 2-4 minutes, and be in one of the following formats: MP4, MOV, WMV, FLV, AVI or AVCHD.
Consent forms: If submitting a video, each person who appears in your video must complete and sign a consent form. If the participant is under 18, this needs to be signed by the participant’s parent or guardian.
